Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Watch
Since 1963 the 'Daytona' has been in production with Rolex. However the history goes back a little further to 1955 with the launch of the 6234 model. It was actually not until 1965 the first model was released with it written on the dial and that model could be purchased at a modest $210.00.
It was not always known as a Daytona. In fact, when trying to partner the watch with motorsport Rolex originally named and advertised the watch as: Rolex Le Mans. The watch grew in popularity through the following decades but it was not quite as popular and sought after as it is today.
This example from 2008 is the predecessor to the current ceramic model that followed. The watch is in fine condition, with only slight age-related marks. Largely the watch appears unworn.
This watch comes complete with Rolex box, original paperwork and has just returned from a full service and refurbishment with Rolex UK
